The car show will be held at the City Park on Sunday, a Chapel service will be conducted by Racers For Christ, and concessions will be provided by a local civic group.
2nd Saturday of May thru August. 5:30 - 8:30
This event will be held on the Benton Square from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. the second Saturday of each month from May - August featuring classic cars, trucks, motorcycles, and hot rods. Bands will provide entertainment.
June 15th-17th
All models of Jaguar Cars including vintage to new Jaguars. Participants vote on the trophey winners.
Begins Wednesday before the third weekend in June
Four days featuring world-famous BBQ & Roasted Corn, carnival, dancing, small tractor pull, parade, horse show, car show and free entertainment nightly from local talent to Grand Ole Opry stars.

Fireworks choreographed to music, food, bands, and educational areas.
Fourth Friday May through September
Each fourth Friday evening May through September from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. a host of country music entertainers (and guest performers) will be featured at the new Capitol Park band shelter on the Benton Public Square.

A celebration featuring a mini carnival, children's activities, food, souvenirs, and games.
July 12-19
Held at the Franklin County 4-H Fairgrounds near Rend Lake College and sponsored by the University of Illinois Extension.

Whittington Gun Creek Days is held in downtown Whittington on the old school ballpark featuring a variety of events for the family including country music, dancing, food, crafts, tractor pulls, and horse pulls. Bring lawn chairs, and alcoholic beverages are not permitted. Handicapped accessible.
August 16-19
This event will feature a carnival, food vendors, and entertainment for all ages.
